That is why this is in the 3rd gen durango forum. I only know of one person who has said that hid's havent melted their housing in a 2011+ durango.

Theyre making the housing from a cheaper material than prior years, hence...meltage

The fix for this is to do a projector retrofit in your fog light housing, which is what HID's are intended to be used in...NOT halogen housings. The light is meant to be directed, not reflected.

I was a littel drunk when I posted in this thread. I know the material is cheaper.
