Default Best HID Fog setup?

New around here and I have been searching around on the HID fog topic and can't seem to find anyone who may have posted a particular ebay seller or brand that won't melt the housings. Some have reported no issues so I wanted to try and get that particular setup. I want to go 35watt with 4300k to somewhat match the HID headlights. I also assume I need h16 bulbs and do the tab trim thing to install them. Any suggestions on a link/seller? Thanks!

I ran 35 watt 4500k ddm tuning kit. Melted the housing.

Mark my words: any hid kit will eventually melt the housing and be a pain in the butt. Either go led, nokya h16 bulb.

I have always liked yellow fogs..just want something that adds a little more light without looking like a 1985 Ford Escort GT fog light color that our oem fogs put out lol

I wonder if using the 3000k yellow would still melt the light housing ?

In my past experience with 3k yellow hids in other cars they seemed hotter..I think because of the coating on the bulb to help create the yellow look of the light. My old Acura TL used a 9006 bulb and the bulb went in between a circular metal shield thing. Not sure if that was for glare control to create a cutoff pattern or for heat control...I think something like that would keep the 11 to 13 fog housings from melting perhaps..I run 35k watt 4300k hid fogs in my Lexus LS600hL as DRLs during day and fogs at night and no sign of heat damage whatsoever for the past 2 years... better materials and design I suppose. The oem fogs on my Lexus actually produce usable light unlike our DD fogs lol #GlorifiedParkingLights
