After having the driver seat replaced due to it falling apart at 3400 miles and now needing the transmission replaced at 3900 miles.... Not so thrilled about it now....

Could you offer more details to this tale of woe? How did the seat fall apart? In what manner was the trann misbehaving?

Lol, yes please document the issues. We can all learn from it. Is this the first time you've ever posted on a car forum?

I have an SXT. The seat began squeaking like an old gym floor. First the back was replaced, then the cushion and finally the entire assembly.

The trans would act like it was searching for the right gear from 1st to 3rd. When downshifting and coming to a stop it slammed into gear so hard it felt like a rear end collision. Tech found metal shavings and metal flakes all thru the trans oil pan.

Hope they are giving you a free comparable loaner while it's in the shop.

Well that sure is a letdown with a brand new car. Good news is you have a warranty. Have not heard of seats falling apart, but you'll find plenty of complaints about lousy seat foam on many forums including Honda.

These are new transmissions, so a bad one here and there is to be expected. Good luck in the repairs, welcome to the forum, and please keep us posted. Lots of good people here I'm sure would like to know how you make out

I had a brand new 2010 F 150 with the new 6 speed that occasionally would slam into 3rd gear so hard, I thought someone hit me. It does tend to spook the crap out of you!
