Anyone have a picture of oem running boards, the non
tube type?

I measured 4.25 inches at the widest portion under the doors.

Can you grab a shot at wheel/hub level along the length of the D? I want to see how far they extend in relation to the splash guards.

Very far. They make it difficult to turn the car. You have to take even wider turns. I've seen about 4 Durangos with those boards which are already wrecked somewhere in the center))) Drivers forget how wide those are and make turns as they used to...
I would prefer tube type boards than these ones.

No idea why anyone would turn that close to something. Bad drivers?

Not everyone live where road lanes are the size of an airport runway.
Driving or parking one of those size SUV in some countries (ie: europe) require some skills.

i live and drive in NYC. Driving here and not getting hit by a taxi takes some skills.
