I have a Dodge Durange 2012 crew with a console in the second row. There is rattling coming either from the console or from the overhead air controls in the second row. Anyone familiar with what may be causing the rattling? It is beginning to be really annoying

There are threads regarding headliner rattle that I think will enlighten you on this
Ha ha, that is funny, but $12,000 more for a rattle elimination??? If only buying new solved every problem, I think more people would anty up for a 2014.
Well you wont notice anyway you will be too busy updating the radio and cleaning the grease off your wheels.

Sorry you are experiencing the condition. I know the rattling noise can be annoying. The dealer can inspect and diagnose the issue. There are two STAR cases the dealer can review that is possibly related to the noise (S1223000041-rattle in rear overhead HVAC ducts & S1323000028-rattle noise from overhead console map light lens).
OK, so this is going to sound really dumb... I had a rattling from the back of the truck and thought it was coming from the headliner/entertainment system. It actually turned out to be the metal part of the seatbelt (male end) banging against the door panel. Dumb, dumb design. I now make sure it is tucked behind that little tab they made. I know, it can't be that simple right? Well...for me it was...

That's good to know, can you post the fix for those of us out of warranty please? I believe mine is the HVAC ducts however, the foam trick did not seem to work for me. I do not have the rear dvd or do I have a sunroof.
