Cruise Control does not come on,,,,

It was working,, when I did the Starter/self work (installed new one).
Tried Cruise-control ==== not working at all. (Went to mechanic - He said, it has nothing to do with the starter work that he have done)
What can be the reason, I do not think upgrade will be available at this time for a vehicle of 2013.
Any other option to check ???
