Default Ugh, Flowmaster Force II update

So haven't had the time to get in here and update this since I told everyone I ordered these to be the test mule in this new system. Unfortunately, here's the update.

Thursday June 12 spent most o the afternoon in the garage. Installed Hypertech, installed AFE cold air kit, debadged her and gave her a good detailing/wax. Last thing for the day was got under it and soaked all the stock mounting points for the exhaust in PB Blaster with plans to install the exhaust the following afternoon. Drove the truck about 20 minutes just to see how the Hypertech and CAI changed the truck. Wasn't a HUGE difference but I definitely liked the improvement.

Friday morning June 13th, got up early to head in to the fire station for my shift. 2 miles out from the house at 6am I got hit head on by a drunk driver in the D. Damn Friday the 13th!! So, truck is at body shop on the rack with estimated damages at $15k. Said it'll be about 2-3 weeks before its finished. Hopefully at that time I can get the exhaust on and report back. Right now it's sitting in the garage floor in the way!

Yeah I'm fine, thanks. Just aggravated. Made the very first payment on the truck the day before she hit me. SUCKS to have a brand new vehicle with that much damage.

True, but you're probably fine BECAUSE it was a brand new vehicle, if that makes you feel any better. I would be beyond pissed if it was me so you're probably handling it better than i would.

The first month we had our new D, $500 door ding (neh, slam) damage. The next month? Idiot backed into it causing $810 damage to rear quarter panel and door. The month after? Ran over a stray bucket on the freeway that i could not avoid. Lower air dam replaced. Body shop staff and i are on first name basis now. And now I've got to replace a rear taillight as my wife chopped the corner off this afternoon after being careless and stupid while loading the back.

At least this last one was actually the fault of one of us.

With that much damage you will take a big $$ hit down the road. Make sure you collect on the estimated value the accident will have on future value.

Mike is referring to a diminished value claim - don't let the drunk's insurance try to talk you out of it or low-ball you; they can't close the claim unless you settle and sign papers.

Sorry to hear that...hopefully you are back on the road. I installed the Force II and it sounds AWESOME!! I've gotten several compliments on how aggressive it sounds and the installation was easy (as you may know). I'm curious about the Hypertech. What model did you get and what were the gains you were happy with?
