Unhappy Tow Hooks

So, I recently bought a 2013 DD R/T. I've been VERY happy with it so far (noise issue with rear suspension, part is on back-order, no big deal)

My sister also has a 2013 DD Citadel, and she's got front tow-hooks. I really like how they look, so I've been looking into how hard they'd be to get.

I looked online, and the US (I'm Canadian) Mopar site has the parts listed:
http://www.mopar.com/dodge/durango/2...53193/42/3991/
But, as it's commonly noted, they're absurdly expensive ($700 for 2 hooks, 2 brackets, ~8 bolts, ~8 washers, 2 flanges), add 2 hours of labour and it's a ~$1k job. For something so subtle and that I'll probably never use, that's WAY too much.

I had pretty much given up, when I tripped across pictures of the tow hook hits on ebay for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. They look (based on low resolution photos, to the untrained eye) pretty much identical (maybe straighter?) and are WAY cheap.

The Jeep Tow hooks on the Mopar website do have a different part number (68140583AA vs 68065280AE), so either they are different, or Mopar is trying to distinguish between the parts for ordering purposes.

The third generation Durango is built on the same platform as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, so it's not completely unfeasible for them to be compatible for this part.

Even if it's just the hooks that are different, this kit plus two of the Durango hooks would still be cheaper.

*sigh*

Anyone have any thoughts?

i bought a set of black Jeep GC tow hooks and installed them on my D, If my memory serves me correctly, it wasn't the hardest thing in the world, but certainly not super easy. I did it over two years ago and at that time there were no instructions available for the D, just Jeep GC. It took me a couple hours from start to finish. I've used them a few times without any problems.

Well, that settles it!
I went and took pictures of what I could see of my sisters tow hooks last night, they look identical to the JGC version, so I ordered a set this morning.

$175 instead of $1000 makes it totally worth the risk.

Well, it took about 3 hours, and I have some clips left over that I couldn't get back into the lower bumper, but overall I'm VERY happy with how it turned out:

~$150 instead of the ~$1000 that the dealership wanted :P

I want to remove my hooks... They are essentially useless unless you want to ruin your bumper cover to use them... lol I was in the process of removing them a month ago, but noticed they have a big nut on the back of them. And I didn't have that size wrench to remove it...
