I've been lifted for 2 years on stock control arms and no issues. When they fail I may upgrade at that point but so far I've put on about 30,000kms and no issues what so ever.

Just got mine done today - including the RRO control arms. Working on rims/tires next.

I know this is an old thread, just hoping can someone can provide some input before I drop the money.

I have the 2.5" rocky-road lift + controller arms (https://www.rocky-road.com/dodge-durango-lift-kit.html) on my 2013 crew.
I was hoping to squeeze a set of 265/70R18 (32.6" true OD) on there using a 18x9 rim with a +2 offset.
I'm fine with cutting some felt if needed, and I also realize this will stick/flare out about 2.1"; all good.

Can anyone confirm if this is realistic without having frame/bumper rubbing??

Thanks

Thanks to all those folks on the "Koning's Lifted Durango BUILD!" Thread specifically for your contributions. After a year of watching this thread, I finally pulled the trigger today on the RRO full kit for my 2014 Durango RT.

Now to find the right installer near Portland Oregon. Let me know if you have any suggestions/recommendations. So far, it is looking like a cool $1k from a few installers with or without alignment.

2014 Dodge Durango RT, 275 55R20 Nitto Terra Grappler 2, MB Wheels TKO 20X9

Yes, she rubs a little when loaded on a good bounce or a hard turn onto a steep apron... thus the lift! She does fit over normal height curbs now though even without the lift.

Happy Holidays!

Just had my RRO kit installed a week or 2 ago.
I'm no gear head, but for someone that knows what they're doing the kit should only take 4 - 5 hours to install (with control arms).
I had mine done at a local 4x4 shop for $400 (4 hours of labor)... and of course the alignment (another $70).
What I did was call around to all the 4x4 shops to see if they'd done a DD lift before... I went with the one that had done a few before; their rate was $100/hr.

I'd suggest you check the work when you pick up your DD.
The mechanic that did mine left an upper control arm bolt tab rubbing against the mount (my terms maybe off here).
It was making a squeaking noise on bumps. I needed to have the bolt tab cut back a bit to leave a few MM gap; squeak gone.
Pic below shows where it was rubbing, though it's not easy to see in the photo.

RRO lift with Wild Country Trail 4SX All-Terrain Radial Tire - LT275/70R18.. Specs say that tire is 33.2" x 11".
Black Rhino 18x8 wheels with +30 offset. No rubbing. Might even be able to go wider on the tire.

Just ordered the rro kit for my 2017 r/t awd. We had it on my 2014 rwd r/t and it worked out awesome. One thing that did bother me though, whenever you went over a pothole or a deep railroad track that allowed the back wheels to suddenly extend, the rear shock bottomed out with a nice clunk.

Not too significant, but i dont like clunks or noises and thats certain to shorten shock life.

has anyone done research into a good shock with a little extra travel, so it wont bottom out?

I'm waiting till they come out with a new design of UCA's that will fit post-2015's before i install. I also had the UCA's on my 2014, and they are night and day difference from the stock ones. Plus drop in ball joints will make replacement a snap in the future. If you're debating it, just get them. Its $400 for some piece of mind.

Default '18 R/T Koning Inspired

Hey guys, I joined just to share some pictures of my 2018 R/T that I bought ONLY because I saw Koning's project ... I wasn't interested in a stock-height Durango. I used the RRO lift, went with 265/65R18 wrapped on 0 deg offset Mayhem wheels. I had originally put 275/75R18, but they REALLY rubbed on the pinch weld that comes into the front wheel well.

Also, I did a mid muffler/ suitcase muffler delete and it really lets the Hemi purr. I have had zero drone and absolutely love the way it sounds.

Ready for some (moderate) offroading and backwoods camping! Thanks for the inspiration, Koning.
