Default Heated Seat Issue...

I have the heated seats in my 2011 Citadel... The problem is, I don't think they are working properly... I've tried using them a couple times this winter and they seem to come on for a minute, then shut of... Anyone else having the same issue...?

Mine works perfect. After i turn it on, it works for the full power (two lights on the button) and in some time (i guess about 15 minutes) it passes to moderate mode (one light stays on). I guess that if it stays turned on for a long time then the function will turn itself off in order not to overheat. So my opinion here is that the heat sensor in your vehicle is broken, so it turns the function off as soon as the seats get heated.

There is no seperate sensor its all based upon resistance of the heat element. My guess is the passenger seat works fine???
Could be a bad heat pad in drivers seat although the factory ones usually last a long time

Actually, I'm not sure... lol The wife doesn't use them much... The ones in her H3 just say on indefinitely...

I really don't feel like taking it to a dealer for this since it will be expensive to fix...

It could be the heated seat element or module. What is the mileage on your vehicle?

I had a similar problem. The switch lights would turn on, but the seat never got warm. Dealer replaced the relay and its been good since.
