Ok. Has anyone updated a 2011 with the 730n RHR?

I've read every forum and I've tried getting the downloads from mygig. The downloads are too big for a cd and a dvd doesn't read. I can't find any info on someone successfully updating the RHR and the files are different. (I've already purchased the navigation software and that is up to date.)

My primary reason for wanting this is the black and red screen lol, can it be done on my radio? If so, can you break it down step by step for me because I'm lost. I get what you are saying, but it's not working for me so a better explanation from someone who has actually updated this radio would be great.

FYI: there's a guy in the jeep forum who bricked his radio trying to update a 2011 (different radio model than mine) because the update was for 2012 and up. His dealer had to replace the radio.

For what it's worth, I updated mine and used it along with my iPhone TomTom app for a 5 hour drive a few weeks ago. The live traffic through the radio wasn't great, the maps were wrong at times and the route would have cost me an extra 40+ minutes. I'm sticking with my TomTom app for long trips and have yet to find anything to replace it. (To each his own. I wish I read something like this before I bought the updated maps.)

Was this the instructions and ISO's that you are using?

OK
good to hear I'm not the only one where this Failed.

Our Downloads are 2.2GB, too big for a CDR, but it fits on a DVDR....and the Durango took the update.

It just didn't make any difference.
There's gotta be a way...

Get a Black screen over the awful Blue. Maybe there's a newer update ?
What logic/sense does it make that owners with older DD/radios (2011s and 2012s) are being successful, and I can't with a 2013 ?

I used the software from the Mygig site to burn to the dvd but it still won't read it. Oh well. Unless someone has a sure fire way, and it makes a difference, I'm going to wait. I will eventually install a Pioneer with Car Play.

Thanks for the reply man. I'm not worried about it if I can't change the color and the sound doesn't change.
