Default tire pressures wrong

2014 Durango r/t

Evic is saying pressures of 38, 39, 39, and 37. Actual gauge (electronic) says 36, 36, 36, 34.5

Any way to reset the tpms? They're clearly wrong and by a lot. The 2015 charger I have is right on the money so I know it's not the gauge.

Odd, my '12 displays within 1 psi of the gauge reading. Have you checked the calibration of your gauge? Just because it's "electronic" doesn't mean it's accurate......

Use a second method to verify; either a pump gauge or a good old stick type.

Did that. Also used the same gauge on my 2015 charger and the gauge readings matched up exactly right with the tpms on that vehicle.

At least we know for certain the sensors and the receiver in the truck aren't speaking the same language.

Hi mcfarl58,

Are you getting a “Service Tire Pressure System” message on your EVIC?

Hi mcfarl58,

I’ve done some research and haven’t found any TSBs related to your concern. I definitely recommend bringing your vehicle to an FCA dealership for a formal diagnosis. If you would like any assistance in scheduling an appointment, please feel free to let me know!

Ok, I'll mention it when I take it in for the rear upper strut mount TSB. It's not that big of a deal honestly, just caught me by surprise. It would only be annoying if it was tripping the warnings and telling me the pressures are too low or too high when they're perfectly fine. It's not doing that though so we're good.
