Default Electrical glitch -- again . . and again . . .

OK, in the pantheon of auto problems this ranks pretty low, but it is none the less very frustrating and costly.
For some unknown reason my front seat settings and the "Easy Exit" functions of the driver seat on my 2012 Crew conspire to wipe themselves out periodically. It's happened at least three times in 18 months. No apparent reason. Most often it is only the Easy Exit function, but twice it also wiped out the seat settings and it won't let me reset them.
The local dealer wants $116 to diagnose the program plus whatever it costs to fix it (re-flash?).
I'm beginning to think Dodge has used left over parts from a defunct Lucas Industries electrical supply storehouse. (The older guys here will get the joke.)
Anyone else having these type of problems?

Are you absolutely sure the wifee isn't holding down the button causing a reset? Mine kept forgetting which setting was hers and would press mine. When nothing would happen she would press it again and hold it down. Sometimes inadvertently brushing the middle set button and mess it all up.

The memory buttons on the Durango and the Grand Cherokee are in a place where it's VERY easy to tap them with your left knee and not realize that you have done it. I do it all the time road testing them.

Default British Electrical System?

So there is some Range Rover-Jaguar-MG-Lotus-Rolls Royce technology in the Durango......?

To recalibrate the easy exit function. Try running the seat all the way to the rear and then all the way back up to the front and see if it relearns it's parameters and begins to work again.

This has worked for other members.....hopefully it'll work for you also.

Good luck,

So holding down any of buttons will cause it to reset, or is it just the "set" button?

There was a flash that came out late last year that WILL fix this issue.

DO NOT let the dealer try making you pay for this as it IS a known issue. Hence why they made a new flash for it. It has something to do with the stereo and the settings.
