I didn't need to pay for my flash/software update, which did take care of the /fish bite/sputtering at freeway speeds. This problem has been known for sometime.
Have FCA customer service on your cell phone speed dial and call them if you feel your dealership is doing a number on you. FCA already knows this is a drivetrain problem and it should be covered under that warranty.
Perhaps our online Dodge rep. who monitors this site can have some input on this info. and just maybe help you get the this flash/software update without you having to pay for it.

well heres the deal, i just bought it used a few months ago, with 37K on it. i have felt all along that it seemed like it was lacking in performance. i have owned 2 other vehicles with a 5.7L (charger,Commander) both of them were a 2006 which is a previous version of the 5.7L yet both of them felt WAY stronger than my D. even the Commander with a lift and oversized tires was stronger!! im certain it could have beaten my D in a drag race. so its hard to say its had a "performance loss" when i haven't owned it from new... and the newer version of the 5.7L has more HP!?!? it looks like i need to reference TSB 21-003-13

well, i called 4 dealerships today, 2 i cant get service to pickup the phone, and the other 2 are booked out 3 weeks!!! so i guess im screwed for a while. i wish i could just drive in and have the flash done while i wait. it should only take 15 min. its not practical for me to leave my vehicle with them all day, not to mention the nuisance... the irony is that i bet if i went down to any of these dealerships right now there would be a line of people waiting to sell me a vehicle and take my money, yet when it comes to service after the fact...
