Default Hacker Recall

Has anyone applied the software upgrade to keep hackers from taking over your car? I got the chip from Chrysler, but it's still sitting in my kitchen. They say it takes 25 minutes of run time to install. What has anyone's experience been?

Put it in and follow the directions on the screen. Leave the car running while you do it.

Simple install, took about 10 mins, follow on scree directions, keep vehicle running, don't remove the USB until the update is complete.

BTW, it goes in 2 ways. If it doesn't prompt, flip it over.

Thanks, good to know. The chip looked a little "non-USB" like.

I think if you don't have adaptive cruise control, or remote start it doesn't apply. Without that there's nothing in your car worth taking over by a hacker.
