Default License Plate Lights

I've had my 2014 for 2years now and was wondering if anyone else has replaced their rear plate lights yet. I have been replacing mine every year so far. You just can't replace one, you have to replace the whole damn thing.

Why are you having to replace them every year?

They seem to go out. And replacing them is cheaper than a ticket. The whole assembly has to be replace because they are LED.

Sounds like an electrical issue. Have you taken it to the dealer? Warranty should cover it.

When you get the new assembly, make sure it is and remains watertight; run a bead of silicone around the back side and the lens edges.

At 56000 miles there is no warranty for that. Will try a bead of silicone to see if that works. All my work on my 2014 DD is done at the dealership.

Seems the dealership could offer some advice if they are the ones replacing it all the time....

I have had mine replaced 4 times at 28K miles under warranty. Now they are saying something is broken inside the track lighting that is causing them not to sit properly. So i have the whole new center track lighting piece coming.
