I had a bad blower motor which the dealer finally replaced. Noise was not nearly as loud as yours. Does it occur all the time? Have you turned the climate control and/or radio on/off to see if any change? Does it happen at all speeds?

The speaker is loose underneath the center speaker grille or the windshield washer line under the hood is vibrating against the hood hinge

Have a similar noise as well. When it happens it's usually on a rough section of the road. I think it's coming from that vented plastic insert on top of the dash. When I put my finger on it, it stops.

Had a very unfavorable experience with a Subaru dealership and dash noises on a 13 Outback. Would rather try to solve this myself.

As pjw1967 suggested, you could try turning a few things on/off to see if it changes the noise to help isolate it. I see you have a 2015, are you still under the factory warranty from a mileage standpoint? If so, this would be best diagnosed by a FCA dealership.

Thanks for response. Only occurs when going speeds of 75mph or higher. I've tried turning everything on and off. Sound still occurs.

Ok I'll look at both. Did you have a similar issue?

There was a TSB for the washer line and a rattling hood hinge. I didn't have a speaker problem, but there have been some where the screws weren't torqued right and the vibrations backed them out.

On the 2015? I just checked a list and couldn't find it

No. On the 2011s, but the design didn't change that much so the same manufacturing issues can still occur.
