Default My new 17 is here!!!

I am in love with this car!!!!! I had a 13 Citadel with the Hemi and this 17 Citadel blows it away. This car is very responsive and a much tighter feel to it. I am very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this Durango to anyone. I also switched from the true blue to the billet silver and its a very good looking car.

Looks great. Can you confirm whether it has lane keeping? Also, what version is the nav database?

Those wheels look so much better than the original Citadel 5 spokes

Is your new 17 also a Hemi or is it Penstar motor?

Yes, it does have the lane sensing feature. I am not a fan of it personally but my husband loves it. The lane sensing feature can be turned off and stays off until you turn it back on. I didn't go with the hemi this time, I was so unimpressed with it on my last one. I don't do any towing so since I didn't feel like it added horsepower I didn't want it this time. This transmission feels so much smoother, no stutter at 45-50. It has the 8.4A Nav.

It's a known fact that the 6sp transmission in the Durangos (2012-2013 Hemi models only) wasn't geared properly versus the 8sp transmission in 2014 to 2017 models.

I wish I could swap out my 6sp for an 8spd transmission in the 14+ models, but it will be too costly for me to do so. Plus nobody has attempted it, so I don't know what parts I would need to do the swap. The 8spd transmission is only 3600, but I would have to swap out additional parts other than the transmission to make it work per Dodge which nobody could definitively tell me which ones.

Congratulations on your new Durano.

It's good to hear that I wasn't loosing my mind. I took that car back to the dealership numerous times for transmission issues. I kept being told that the transmission was fine that my expectation was incorrect. I was told over and over that the issue was with the MDS. I had it get stuck in 4th gear randomly numerous times in addition to the stutter issues I had. I am much happier with this transmission, it shifts very smoothly and seamlessly.

MRich,

Thanks for your response. The Nav database number is buried in the settings menu somewhere. The reason I ask is because the last time I looked at a Citadel (a 2015 MT) in the showroom the Nav version had a 2012 date on it. The date is encoded into the version number - something like XXXX2012XXX. I was shocked that a $45k vehicle would had such an old database and so I was wondering if they are still delivering them like this (outdated database).

yup 2012 map comes out in 2013 and 2014 comes out in 2015 so if ur 2015 was built in 2014 it should have a 2013 map,
