I have a 2011 Durango citadel with factory HID head lamps the passenger side ligt is very dim while the drivers side works fine I don't know if the bulb is burning out or if the baiiast is bad can anybody give me some input? the bulb is very pricey

 

Sounds like a bulb issue. If the ballast were the issue I wouldn't expect you to get any light.

If you want to be certain though before buying the expensive bulb, you can swap bulbs from left to right to ensure the dimness follows the bulb.

Thanks for the input switching the drivers side bulb to the passenger side is a good idea its a lot harder to remove things on the driver side to get to the bulb I will buy a bulb and hope that this will fix the issue.
