Default Backup Sesnors

My 2011 Durango rear backup sensors are not picking up movement behind the vehicle as good as it normally did. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a easy fix for the problem.

I keep my truck clean at all times so the problem is not dirt on the sensors. I new that was my first mistake when originally posting I should have included that. It is also not any wax buildup on them. I was wondering is it possible that these sensors degrade over time. After all it is a 2011 but I do keep it in the garage so it's not constantly outside in the abusive weather. Any ideas would be appreciated because I know the dealer will probably look at me like I'm crazy.

Being crazy is underrated.

Is it just a screen that covers a sensor? If so, might try blowing them out a little bit.
