Default FCW OFF sensor

I have a 2011 dodge Durango citadel and the fcw off light comes on and the truck gets stuck in a gear and I have to pull off the road, turn the car off for it to go off. Any idea what the issue is?

Does your owners manual mention that?

Forward collision warning sensors are likely dirty.

What did you end up doing to resolve? I have the identical issue you described on my 2013 Durango.

I’m being told by a dealer that it will cost $1,250 to replace a “transmission oil coolant” component to relieve the transmission issue but they have no idea what’s causing the FCW OFF light to come on - that will be an additional 250 to diagnose.

I have told them the two issues happen simultaneously but they don’t seem to think they’re related.

I am having the exact issue randomly on my 2011 Citadel. It was a sunny morning and sensor was relatively clean.
