2020 Durango RT blacktopor 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn midnight edition??
I’m looking to purchase either the Durango RT or Ram 1500 bighorn but can’t decide on what to get. I have a durango sxt but wanted to upgrade to the RT but now I’m interested in the ram. Never had a pick up truck before I heard pros/cons but can’t make a decision. Any opinions??

no but I’m a firefighter and have a lot of equipment and am tired of keeping all my stuff in my car especially since I have a baby now so not sure if it’s a good idea to get a pick up and keep everything in the bed so it’s closed off from the cab

compare
I have a 2015 Durango RT and wife drives a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. We love them both. We have the Mopar three part folding cover, but even that allows some water in back there. They both have plenty of power and a great exhaust note. We kept our 2008 Honda Minivan too, since it had no trade in value to speak of.
Pros on the Durango:
- Stuff in the back stays dry
- Seats 6 with third row in use (but then cargo space is small behind 3rd row)
- MUCH easier to park
- Can be bought with rear seat DVD (we have it, kids love it)
- can actually haul longer stuff in durango than in short bed pickup
- Get a few MPG better mileage (our 1500 has the rear end for towing, not MPG)
- paddle shifters
- More fun on twisty roads
Pros on the 1500
- Better for towing our camper
- Softer ride, very comfortable
- More interior space, more interior storage cubbies
- Sometimes a pick up is just better for hauling messy and large stuff
- Bigger available center display
- more ground clearance
- Incredible 19 speaker stereo if you get the Harmon KArdon version
