Hi, I have a 2013 Dodge Durango SXT. Recently my key fob had not been unlocking, locking, or setting the alarm off when I press the button. It still starts the vehicle. I have two of them and neither work. I noticed over the past couple months that it has been getting weaker and weaker to the point the buttons no longer work. I replaced the case as well thinking the contacts were the problem. Still nothing. I know it’s not the batteries because my Durango will tell me when the batteries are low. I’ve taken the fobs apart to clean them to no avail. Any input will help, thank you very much.
Have you actually tested the batteries in the FOBs, or tried replacing them anyway? It's possible that the batteries might have gone high in internal resistance so the reading is high enough to not trigger the low battery warning, but they are not able to provide enough current to give the FOB decent range. Unlikely maybe, but possible.
I replaced the batteries and still nothing. I checked them with my volt meter and it’s reading at 3v which is right where it should be and i also checked the total ohm resistance and it’s at 1ohm. I really don’t know where to go from here

A new, fully charged battery should read more like 3.2 or 3.3 volts when not under load. At 3V with no load, it wouldn't surprise me if it were warning of a low battery. If you were to load that battery you'll probably read something quite a bit less than 3V.
What are you measuring when are you measure 1 ohm?
