Default 2013 dodge durango

Good afternoon all,
I'm new here and just looking for some direction. I have a 2013 dodge durango, the throttle body light came on and it started smoking from under the hood. I shut if off and it has not started since. I have been told there are no codes showing so it the the control module, I have also been told by the way it turns over its the timing chain. The garage in my area is backed up, any ideas of the issue? Appreciate any help I can get!!

Welcome to DF!

What was smoking? Is the vehicle currently sitting at a shop? When you crank it, does it sound different to YOU?

Moving this to Third Gen Durango section for ya.

Generally, if it's a timing issue on an OHC engine, the engine rolls over, but sounds like it has no compression. (mainly because.... it doesn't....) Can you post a sound clip of cranking the engine?
