[QUOTE=bwhite757;1647811]Sorry I didn't see this until now.
The heat issue has been discussed many times. Honestly only time will tell. Schedule 40 is rated for 140 degree liquid to run through it, air temps can probably be a little higher. So far my CAI has only seen a 90 degree day, and the Intake Air Temp reached around 105 (According to my Edge programmer). As long as my intake air temp doesn't get above 150, I'm not going to worry, right now it's solid, still looks good, and doing it's job...
What was your intake temp with the stock setup? How is the throttle repsonse compared to stock. Is it pretty loud?

Thanks to your idea I did the same on my 4.7 Magnum. I tried to make the bends less severe and used a 60 degree elbow and a 90 degree elbow (not very drastic but I didn't want to block the oil fill or dipstick). What did you use to mount your CAI. I presently have a 90 degree angle bracket with a large hose clamp coming off of the original air box mount toward the passenger's side. Great job on yours.
