whats up guys im new to this deal, but just wanted to put my 2 cents in about this, ive got Flowmaster super 40 delta flows on mine, they are running strait out the back into 3" chrome tips I did a lot of research before buying mine, have had them for about 3 years now and i love them, people always think my truck has the hemi and are always complimenting it and tryin race me..haha...their nice and deep with a good throaty sound when you get on it, but nice and suttle at highway speeds. Those coupled with the cooper M/T's and my CAI= awsome sound..and puts the girlfriend to sleep!! haha...wanting to redo to true duals but not too sure and def bigger tips..any comments?.

Default Magnaflow

I have a Magnaflow muffler (2 into 1). I used it to replace the factory Y-pipe. Got the idea from someone else on the list. Everything else is stock. Sounds good when I get on it. But isn't to loud during regular driving or highway cruising. The cab is fully sound deadened with Rattletrap XXXtreme so that may have something to do with it too.

WOW!! Looks like most are going with the Flow!! Anyone get the stainless ones yet? I'm just curious if they have a different sound with a different metal used...

Recommendations for a 4.7?

I want a deep smooth tone. Nothing raspy or popping.

[dont kill me] I want it to sound like my dads 5.3l chevrolet [/dont kill me]

just a nice smooth deep tone.

ive gone through 4 sets of mufflers on my rams

1) flowmaster 50 series: slight rumble at idle, nice grown when you get on it, your typical flowmaster rumble, but not real drowny on the highway

2) magnaflow: it was a really long one, close to the size of the stock muffler. it was the perfect muffler. a little rumble at idle, and made some noise when you stepped on it, but it was still quiet enough to not wake up the neighbors when you come home at night

3) dynomax: too loud for me, and drones like hell when cruising on the highway

4) glasspack: loud, but also sounded nice at the same time

5) open pipe: stupid and obnoxiously loud

what will i go with from now on? longer magnaflows
