okay 93 tune for 4.7 is only available for the 08+ right now....sometime later this year they will revisit the older 4.7s to get them up to speed....hopefully....

As for updating you tuner, "it depends." Hopefully when SC adds the Release Notes back on their website, we'll be able to make a more informed decision about when to update. I usually don't go more than a month between updates. One thing to consider now is the new options coming down the pipe (trans options for Hemi followed by trans options for the 4.7s, 09 support, ...) you may want to update a little more often now.

No, you do not have to return to stock prior to updating or re-tuning.

The Hemi options will be released first and may include the '09 support. The 4.7 trans options will follow close behind.

I do not return my truck to stock even with updating with the new beta releases. Now, I don't think updating a Hemi vs. a 4.7 would preclude returning your truck to stock BUT, *I* don't have a 4.7 so I cannot say with certainty.

Since when is there a 93 tune? I just updated my tuner last Friday, and I didn’t really pay attention, but I thought it just said “Performance 91” like normal. What engines/years is the 93 tune out for?

I never return to stock. And I've updated countless times with the beta.

They really only sell 92 out here as the top tier octane. I can only do the 91 (04) so I guess it's not that bad. I'd really be cursin the gas station if I could do the 93 and not be able to reap the full benefits from it
