found a couple on ebay and craigslist, but was wondering what the difference was. Sounds like the 3865 that is a little more flexible is the way to go Thanks for the info.

 

Sil or any of you guys know if the Cortex warranty is transferable? Might be getting a used one and just curious.

 

Before purchasing on-line, go back and read pages 156-158.

The 3865 is about 1/4 the size of the 3815 but has necessary memory that will allow new options.

The 3815 is end-of-life but will continue to have updates for new calibrations and support for DAQ etc.

 

Warranty applies to original purchaser only.

not to block your sale joe at all but oe will def want a 3865....for the trans options....may maybe not...and "itsahemi" becareful what you buy off c/l or ebay i bought a stolen cortex off ebay and the guy told me it was legit and yaddi yadda....blew smoke right up my **** and what do ya know blam stolen and reported....what a fiasco.....took me weeks to get it settled....and sam!....250 for a 3715 thats a lil much pal drop ya price and you might be able to sell it....if i remember right the 3715 is for 3.9s to 5.9s ....

 

yeah he almost bought the cortex...I got to the thread just before he did LOL

and yea, oe you may want to wait and hold out for a good deal on the 3865 since you got the 05. It's up to you though. I'm sure there are plenty of 03 and older guys out there that would still like the 3815.

 

you got that right there are plenty guys out there that could take advantage of that....
