You guys had mentioned starting my rev limiter at 5500 but the flashpak will only let me go down to 5790rpm I think it is. I have the 03 4.7 so so far the rev limiter is the only thing I can adjust tranny wise..... So since I can't take it down to 5500 so I set it at the 5790 ?

What other people were saying before is setting your wide open throttle shifting around 5500 rpms because anything after that and your just losing power. Your rev limiter can be set around 6000 or more.

Not just so far, but for ever. You will never get any more tranny options. Sorry.

I suggest you look at the torque curve where you are leaving one gear and hitting the next. When I was in the VW world, European Car mag did a good article on the VW close ratio 5sp. For max acceleration, the 1-2 gear shift was at redline (they were spaced too far apart), but the remaining shifts happened a few hundred rpm prior to redline, as that was where the torque in the old gear matched the torque on the curve in the new gear. Make sense?

Yeah I can't adjust all of that. Like said the only thing I can adjust is rev limiter. I can't mess with WOT it adjusted it by its self from 1,2 3,4 so then I ask what is purpose of me adjusting the rev limiter to say 6000 ? Really sucks I have no control on how or where it shifts. damn the 04 has shift points. But with the firmer shifting it does give me I can tell a difference

I have a 2008 Ram Hemi. Right now I have just a CAI but I will be getting a cat back magnaflow exhaust system for it. I am looking at getting a SC tuner but I cant decide on which one to get. The Flashpaq or the Cortex. Could I get some feed back on these two. I also do a far share of towing ie dirt bikes, atv's and lots of camping stuff.

Thanks.

No, when you plug it into your truck it should state that the programmer is already locked to another vehicle. The only way to use the same programmer on two or more vehicles is if your buddy used his Cortex to set his truck back to the stock tune. Then you can use the Cortex on your truck and tune it to whatever you want. However, only one truck at a time can run a tune on the same programmer.
