You may want to call tech support at 1-888-227-2447 and verify:
Ram 5.9L 1998-2003; 3865 Flashpaq -- +46.9HP; Torque +59.4 lb-ft

The Flashpaq 3865 would be your best bet.

Default Flashing the Speedometer

I had been trying to flash my speedo on my 2005 Ram and can't seem to get it right. I went from p245 to p265. The Michelin website said my LTX MS2's are 31.7" diameter. I set it at 31.75". That wasn't close so I entered 31.5". It is accurate at 40mph but is GPS'd roughly 2mph under the speedo at 60 to 90mpg.
Is calibrating it to the GPS accurate?
I am taking a road trip and want an accurate speedo.

The recommended method of setting your tire size is: Make sure they are properly inflated and measure from the bottom to the top of the tire. You can put a level on the top to get a closer measurement. Enter the value to the closest 1/4".

I have one other friend with a highly modd'ed 5.9 and his SC wasn't cutting it, although he had no real issues per say, he went away from it and to a Bully with better results...

Take it from a guy who's had a good dozen sets of after-market tires on trucks, SUVs and Jeeps over the last 20+ years - TIRE COMPANIES LIE ABOUT DIAMETER! Measure by hand and plug in what you find...

While we're speaking of tire sizes, I noticed something peculiar today.

I was going through all of the options on my programmer today, and when I got to the tire size option, I noticed that it was set to 31.5". My truck came from the factory with 275/60R20 (33") tires and I know for a fact that it was never programmed before I bought it. What are the odds that it was set wrong at the factory (causing just over 2100 extra miles to be added to the odo) versus it being incorrectly programmed at 31.5" when I installed my tune?

The speedo is set at the factory for the tire size on the panel on the driver door. Read that and you'll know where is was before...

When the programmer reads stock that info are then shown in the programmer as the stock height when you view that option. It could be that they factored in the weight of the vehicle and tire pressure at the time of its manufacture.

The factory sidewall height measurements are based on a bare tire off the rim. Put a tape to the tire on a flat surface like concrete. The peak is usually in the middle of the tire. Even though there is wear to factor in you will be closer to the 31" than the 33".
