no more tuners for me now tuning by computer cause they can't support the s/c install. oh well.

 

I just did a SC update to my Cortex and I sware the WOT shift points is lower. Did they lower it to stock ?

 

I sold my 03 reg cab hemi, I got my eyes on a QC now and its a 03 as well, I can only use the SC tuner on it cause the 03s don`t have the transmission stuff right?

 

Depends... If you still have the 3815 and you do purchase the "newer" '03 then the 3815 is the way to go. The 3815 does NOT support the full advanced Trans Upgrade and the '03's are not supported by the Advanced Trans Upgrade.

If you purchase something newer than an '03 AND you want the Advanced Trans Upgrade then you will want to upgrade from the 3815 to the 3865. I believe SC is still offering a $100 trade-in upgrade of the 3815 to the 3865.

I do not believe Diablo has support for the '03s but we'll need input from someone "in the know".

 

I stupidly sold the SC tuner with the hemi to the guy I work with, gave it to him along with the truck and now I need to see if I can buy it back off him.
but yeah, ill have to get the 3815 cause Idk if anything else is useable with it.

put on my K&N-Cai and a magna-muffler, but that's all.

The 3865 will work with the '03s but it's overkill as the applications available to the 3865 are not usable for the '03s.

Try checking the Internet for an available 3815 you may find one cheaper than trying to buy back your old one. Just make sure it is NOT VIN locked or you will have a $100 fee to have it unlocked by SC.

 

The 2500's do not have MDS so mileage is a premium. If you have a Flashpaq 3865 (or Cortex 3950) and have purchased the Advanced Trans Upgrade; check out my shift schedules on www.mcfail.net/superchips to see if they give you and increase in mileage.

One mod that I just had to install was my Bank's Monster Exhaust - my Flowmaster 70 series rusted through in three years. That mod alone gave me about +2.0MPG. I love it, the additional power and sound make my '07 2500HD fun to drive again. I'm averaging 13.1-to 13.6 where with my Flowmaster 70 series I was getting 11.5-12.0MPG.

Talked to Rob. at VehicleProgrammers.com today and he said I'm better off
to use Superchip-Flash or Cortex . I'm good with that and get a 'Scan Gauge' product to help with the onboard 'light foot' approach showing the real time MPG . Thanks for your thoughts ! Glad to pass on any improvements or new experiences to all.
