So I've got a question that maybe Sil, Scott or Tom could answer. If I bite on these new features and go ahead and sell my 3815, that I just got in Feb., while I can maybe still get a decent amount out of it, are there any guarantee's that I won't have to turn around and sell the 3865 in 5 months because it is already outdated?

i would be VERY suprised if the 3865 is outdated anytime soon. SC put a lot of time and money into the R&D of a new platform and it would be wasted if the 3865 didnt stick around for a while. Im very confident you're safe with the 3865 for quite a while (the 3815 lasted 4 yrs before it was superseded)

Agreed, I can't imagine that they would come out with another new product a few months after releasing this one when it was 4 years in between the release of the 3815 and the 3865.

The first generation Flashpaq was around for 4 years. It's still receiving calibration and add vehicle updates.

The 3865's capabilities are such that the it should be around as long or longer.

What's the main differences hardware wise between the 3815 and 3865......like memory and processing speed? Can't find specs on them anywhere.
