So am I understanding correctly that the Diablo Sport doesn't offer anything to improve the shift firmness for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, or at that matter, any options for the transmission?

umm diablo is best for the 05/06 bc you have partial up and down transmission shifts...

Have you not read through this thread at all??? 03-04 do not have any options for the trans, 05-06 has ALL options for the trans including the partial up/down shifts and the shift firmness, while not user adjustable, is there within the canned tune (same way with Superchips), 07-08 has trans options too but are missing some features that the 05-06 models have like the partial down shifts and less of an adjustable rev limiter.

So for 05-06 Rams, the Diablo is probably the BEST tuner available. Not saying anything is bad with the Superchips but as far as the tuners go for the 05-06 years, they are lacking in comparison to the diablo.

Where'd you read that at? Diablo has more user options both engine and tranny wise than the SC...and also has a 93 canned tune which SC doesn't have. I could go on and on..

Fellas...relax, it's not a big deal, I was just asking. Now I know, and I am fully informed when I'm ready to take the plunge and make the purchase for a tuner.

If you guys were me, would you purchase the Diablo before buying a cold air intake?

I did the tuner last... If I could do it over again I would have gotten it first. Much better gains than an exhaust or CAI is gonna give you. Your call though

That's awesome guys, I can't wait to get the tuner. I hated it how my 2nd generation Ram didn't really have a good tuner unless you wanted to spend $600 on a fricken SCT. I'm taking a little break on the mods for just a little, and then I'm going to buy that sweet little tool to really give my truck that edge.
