I'm looking forward to this, but first things first. If you don't mind, who does your tuning?

Edit: And even with a custom tune the 03 model still has some cam restrictions. Do I have that right?

Marty WAS doing my tuning, but since he's deploying to the sandbox next month, I think Sean (hemifever) is taking over for him. And yes, you're correct about being somewhat limited in tuneability, which is why you cant run the 108lsa

Yeah for your setup i'd go with the spartan and 4* advance. I think the 210x is gonna really hurt your 1/4 time. its got more get up and go than you need, and not enough keep going. it'd be a great 1/8 miler but not the 1/4

Well one of the guys over on HTC is running the 210x in his rcsb and hit 13.03 in the 1/4 so it is still a good 1/4 cam even though its a lowend cam. However I do beleive he has an 04 so he couldn't adjust the shift points to take advantage of the higher rpm range of the spartan

Truckin,
That refreshed some old brain cells. Good info, I've built a lot of chevy engines but it has been a good while and they all were pre computer engines. I think it'll all come down to what the tuner is capable of doing. I'm thinking with the TC/gears I have i can do well with a range of 2000-6000 since I'm turning 2000 rpm at 65 mph.
Thanks,

RedTruck i'd like to see a comp 268 or a Crane 216 in yours. They are both excellent RCSB 1/4 mile killer cams. Especially with you're TC/gears!! You'll be low 13's for sure, possibly breaking into 12's if you can get traction.

Well gentlemen, plenty to get excited about. It'll be a while as I intend to do heads along with the cam. Need to save up a lttle as we all know this is an expensive hobby.
Thanks,

But it is what we do....... I got a problem with my ABS warning light. I believe it is related to the DSP, so posted it on that thread.
