Tap the Rear Diff with a small ball peen until it goes away (light goes out), kinda like a starter on a Cheby or window motor on a Furd. it's happened twice to me after I have worked in that area. Really only had 3 cans of Beer.
Tapping on the housing sounds like a cure for a contaminated VSS/tone ring. I have fresh oil in mine, so maybe I'll see if I can just pull the sensor and take a look at it. Thanks,
But it is what we do....... I got a problem with my ABS warning light. I believe it is related to the DSP, so posted it on that thread.
Have you checked on the DSP forum about this? Yours is not the first truck that I have read about that have had an abs light pop while using the DSP. In fact, I had it happen to me when I had the DSP but it went off for me after driving it in reverse for about 100 feet. Maybe you can try that.

Teacher, yes I read DSP forum and you are correct, this was a reported problem with DSP DR03 firmware. Suposely DR04 directly addressed this problem and fixed it. My DSP had DR04 firmware installed when this problem came up yesterday. Actually, while loading a tune a few days ago the same thing happened and while backing up (30-40 ft) it went out. Last evening, I installed the original tune back in the truck and updated the firmware to the latest version. This morning I installed the canned 93 tune + wheel hieght. Ran it 1/4 mile, turned it off/on, backed up about 100 feet, and then drove it about 8 miles. I still have the ABS warning light. Oh, lol and tapped on the housing for good luck. I have no codes. The manual says if the HCU is replaced, it has to be flashed using the DRBII tool. I'm wondering if the DSP screwed up my HCU settings. I just don't know enough about this. But I can clearly say the DSP caused this problem and I am not a happy camper.
So you updated to the 9r07 crom, you went through the DSP and checked for codes (not the Key fob or AI) and cleared everything? I have never had a problem like that with my DSP just an issue back when they were getting the release for the 9r06 CROM figured out cause I lost all transmission tuning.

Truckin, yes I've loaded the 9r07 crom and used the DSP to check for codes. said, "no codes found" and I still went through the erase code steps. Brakes feel the same as before, runs good. Everything feel normal, just have flashing ABS amber warning light.
I've posted on the forum with my problem. It has been read by a few folks but no answers yet. Tomorrow I'm at the paint shop probably all day. Maybe Wednesday I'll call.
