Tell ya what, RH. You hook up your 5.9 gasser to one side of a house and pull. I'll hook up my 5.9 cummins to the opposite side of the house. I'm willing to bet your 5.9 starts magically moving toward the house.

I would agree with you they were amazing for their time, but hemiguy is absolutely right. once the hemi came out, the 5.9 definitely left something to be wanted comparatively speaking.

That being said, this is my opinion, NOT necessarily the facts. You take your opinion, i'll take mine, and we'll be fat dumb and happy (minus the fat and dumb part)

I'm actually surprised so far, I know that this thing just went up, but if you go by the posts in this section there are damn near as many 4.7 guys and if I go by People I know personally. Hunting & fishing buddies, guys I've met thru here and hung out with, etc., I bet 3 out of 4 are 4.7 owners...
Actually...only the first gen (50's) hemi's had true hemispherical combustion chambers. Funny thing is, they were originally marketed as the 'dual rocker shaft' engine. Dual rocker shafts....hmmmm. Anyhoo, poly's were cheaper semi-hemi's with a single rocker shaft for both intake and exhaust (like the old wedge motors). So basically our 3G versions are wedge chambers with dual rocker shafts, meaning a 440 and a 426 hemi had a baby that started out as a 5.7 hemi and then hit adolescence as a 6.1 (which means when they start to put that 6.4 in the trucks in a few years it'll be a young adult...). Alright I'm rambling, so that's it.

Votes in. That said has anyone ever had the nuts to try a "California Burnout" with a Hemi Ram? Cause I don't have the guts for those stunts anymore!

I almost didn't put the CTD in the mix, mainly because they have their own section and I am sure we won't get a true view of their numbers, but there are 3rd Gen CTDs so I included them...
