Hello, I have 2002 1500. Eagle rims and am about to replace a set of Maxxis Buckshot mudder 305-70-17. Im thinking of going with a 315-70.

My question isn't if they will fit but how does the truck drive with 315's on it? Does it still ride ok as far as steering or does the truck wander a bit more with tires that big?

Im 99% sure Im going with AT's over MT's this time if that makes a difference. Looking at the Cooper AT/3.

Anyone riding a non-lift kit truck tell me what the drive is like with the 315's?

Default Help with wheels?

Hey everyone. I have an 03 ram 1500 2wd. I would like to get some after market wheels for my new tires. They are Nitto Terra Grapplers, 285/70/17. Any suggestions on wheels and offset and backspacing?
Thanks in advance!

I have a 2008 1500 4x4 quad cab all stock on 20s. I want to run bfgoodrich at/ko's and the only way is to go up in size. 285/65/20 is 34.6x11.2x20 according to the chart, the width is fine without spacers. Will the .6 extra height make a difference. I just don't want anything to rub and ruin expensive tires.
If not I think I will try out the new goodyear adventure at's in stock size.

On the 1500 you should be able to tighten the torsion bars to give you a little more room, had a 03 1500 with 35s on it with very little rub before tightening the bars

Does an 08 have torsion bars? Thought you had to buy the level kit.

If you follow the math in the initial Post, you'll get your answer.

I just put on 35/20/12.5 after my bilstein level. My rear tires rub my wheel well liners when i go over bumps i guess I will have to trim around those.
