ORIGINAL: 5point7 hemi

I guess if I was to nit-pick, I also do not like the wide a-pillars, they block my view and I almost hit a kid on a bike because of it. A-Pillar blind spot...
Thats a problem that I've faced with every vehicle I have ever driven, be it ford, dodge, gm. The A-pillar has always been a huge blind spot, at least for me.
I think the rear vision is pretty good in the Ram. You want blind spots, check out and Avalanche. My 04 Av had huge blind spots, especially for my 5'03" wife.

With so much good information having come in on the faults in this long thread,
perhaps some volunteer would now come forward,
and make a
"How to Fix most common problems with 3rd Gen Rams FAQ"
where not only faults
but the 'fault fix'
would be given along with part numbers and web links?

Well Everyone has there own opinion but i dont like a couple of things. First of all i HATE the MDS motor... Never again will i buy a vehicle that has MDS... And second the seats are awful.. They seem to be really cheap made.. Very uncomfortable there is no padding to them at all.. Feels like im sittin on the frame of the seat and thats all....

I owuld have to agree on the blind spot A-pillar. Going around a gradual turn in my neighborhood, I have to look out the side window and the windshield to see just right. Grab handles are cheap plastic rather than something mounted to the metal part of the cab. And the p2175 TAC system low airflow check engine light that is only activated in the hemi, but not the v-6 or cummins. Going 70+ mph the that light coming on and kicking you out of overdrive is dangerous.

Well I have a 2500 so I'm hoping the LSD "C" clip issue is not in play...no problems yet. My beef actually is trivial but has bothered me since day one. The seat belts seems way too far behind you to grab (at least in a regular cab, not sure about others). Practically pull a muscle every time I reach for it.

Other, more important issues are "mystery" computer issues. Have had the hemi cut out on me (then fine), and an O2 sensor go out twice under 10k miles.

Overall though, love the truck

All valid points: but I think that the cheaping out from year to year is my biggest complaint.
For example: my 04 quad cab Laramie had power seats on both driver and passenger side, now my 07 Laramie only has a drivers side power seat.
Also, the 04 had a 'LOW WASHER FLUID LIGHT',the 07 DOESNT, a safety feature here in Canada in the winter.
These 07 leather seats look and feel cheap, the 04 were nicer with a cool suade insert and 'ram' engraving.
Thelack of interior colour sucks in 07. You must always have a black option. This gray colour will just get dirty looking very quickly.
All the plastic on the front bumper really makes the truck fragile. My wife clipped a snowbank and cracked the front bumper cover all around the passenger driving light up to the grill. It was pretty cold outside which makes that stuff brittle as ever. My 04 was an all steel bumper around the driving lights, a little more durable if you ask me. That plastic crap is all SHOW. Its a friggin truck, supposed to be TOUGH!!!, now I'll be out a cool thousand at least.

Thanks
STEAK
07 Ram Quad laramie, wishing I has kept the 04 Ram
