What is the worst design flaw in the 3rd gens?
paint seems not very durable seems like it scratches very easily and windshield pitting after 10,000 miles my 07 windshield appears to be like a 5 year old truck but by far the most annoying thing is the wind noise from around the doors but it is a good looking good running truck oops almost forgot the wheel hop like if i hit an expansion joint or a pothole repair patch at 65 mph
I agree with Steak on the cheaping out. It seems like year to year, many of the nice extras we used to get aren't offered anymore. It seems like the only way they can keep the already high vehicle prices even close to what they year to year is to give us less and less and use cheaper materials. I find that true with other brands, not just Dodge.
IMO, Dodge is lacking in interior design and materials. Nearly all auto makers use the same interior materials (plastic), but others do a better job of making it look good, last a while, and color options. I looked at several different Dodge interiors and didn't really care for most of them. The Ram interior is just kinda "blah" and looks like cheap plastic.
I just drove my 07 on the highway at 70-80 for a couple hundred miles and I also agree with the wind noise around the doors. It is annoying. My driver's rear view shakes at 70 also. I averaged 15.8 mpgfor the trip. Personally, I'd like a bit firmer tranny shift points. When accelerating from a light, in the first shift or two, it's like the power just dies for a second.
I have owned mine for 6months so far. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. I just have a few minor complaints. One thing I find odd, is I haven't recieved a vehicle survey from Dodge yet to voice my complaints. Every other new vehicle I have purchased in the past 20 years has been followed up by a vehicle survey. It seems like Dodge only cares about the dealer satisfaction since I've gotten 2 dealer surveys since buying it.

This is the CEO to Chrysler recently hired by Cerberus in August
http://www.chryslerllc.com/en/about_us/our_team/?name=
This is how much he made in 2006 working for Home Depot

This is what he thinks of Chrysler Dodge Jeep

But he'll still collect millions from his cheap *** cars. Its all about passing the savings to the investors, not to you or me. Its the corporate way, its the american way. Kiss your bill of rights goodbye.

1) The cupholders on the floor of the QC. Did the designers drink out of baby cups?
2) The A-pillar blind spots, worsened by the towing mirror location. I see I agree with earlier posters.
3) Navigation controls, it's time to step up to touch screen like the rest of the world.
4) No Transmission Temperature Guage for gassers, inexcusible for a truck for towing.
5) Going backwards on the seat comfort, earlier models were with out a doubt better, why did they change to a less comfortable seat...bonehead move.
I am sure I will find more, but in reality, this list isn't too bad compared to some other trucks.

By far the worst design on the truck is the factory LSD. Nobody with a factory LSD can escape the dreaded "c-clip issue" for very long...

I think i may have asked this question already, but i don't remember. I have an 02, and thus far haven't encountered any problems with the "C" clip. (KNOCK ON WOOD) But, should i encounter a problem with it, how much am i looking to fix/repair/replace it?
