The front axle CAD system.

This is kind of a hidden flaw because according to Chrysler's own press release about the 2009 Ram front axle, the CAD design on current Rams causes about 1 MPG loss at highway speed because of un-necessary friction.

I would say the horrible upholstry on the 06's, just rain coming in the windows puts a stain on them, also the crack noise in the dash, other than that, I love my truck...

All of the 1/2 tons use a 9.25 except for the MegaCab.

My complaint is that 4 wheel ABS should be standard on all models, not just the Laramie. (They fixed this in 09)

When I decided that Ford was no longer a option ( I can go on and on abought thier flaws) Dodge was the most logical chioce for me. I reserached the Ram, talked with owners and spent a lot of time here before buying my 06 2500.

Thier are a lot of things that bug me abought my truck, but, to date it has been the best truck I have owned.

I avioed a lot of the 1500 Rams issues by going to a 2500, solid front axels, better rear diff, no rack and pion issues, and no automtic transmiison.

I really likethe hemi 6sp combo, but will say that the hemi and the drive train is a maintance junkie, I put a lot of miles on my truuck and it runs today like it was brand new.

But, the quality of the paint and body work ranks with the first generation of the huyundia pony, my door seams are rusting, lower rockers toasted ( wheals stick out past the wheal wells on the 2500 )

Now I'm not as critical, thease are smiple issues I can fix up as I go, my 06 is 100% a work truck and close to being paid off.

My biggest P off with Dodge is thier dealer net works, but my truck is as old school as you can get and I now do my own maintance.

Its just evolution, no brand is 100% perfect, just 100% a compramise betwean profit and quality.

If you bought a full size v8 truck, you have no right to bitch about abysmal gas mileage. Period. If you don't like it, sell it and buy a Prius.

I get = to the milage of a 5.7 hemi mds, and than some, my truck is good on flue, up to 22 mpg higway, but, thats 6 gear, no higher than 2000 rpm and never over 60 mph...

The hemis are good on flue if you let the torque of the hemi do the work, as soon as you push them hard, you need to be towing a flue tanker..

but my truck is not good on flue with city drving, I have dual ex, really helped with the highway mpg..

My biggest complaint is the lower seatbelt attachment on the drivers seat. My left butt cheek catches that hunk of metal every time I slide out of the truck. I have had a perma-bruise on my *** for the last 6 months. I am a skinny guy so if I am hitting it, I am suprised everyone is not hitting it.

I also am dissapointed in the downshifting, especially between 20-40 mph. Most of the time when I slam the pedal down at those speeds, the acceleration is so-so but once in every blue moon it feels like someone lit a rocket under my ***. Anyone else noticed this? Or did I get the "short bus" version of the Hemi? Is there any way to fix it?

As for freeway milage I cannot complain. I get between 19-22. I usually drive about 75 and have no probs pulling 21 at that speed.

My city driving sucks big time though. But then again, it is only 1.5 miles to work so the engine never fully warms up so I get about 9 in the city.

I'm with the cracked dashboard group. 113,000 miles and that is the only real problem I've had with the truck. I love it's look. I have some problems with a couple of the lights in the truck but that's just me being lazy about fixing it.
