Just a couple things I noticed, the Edge tuner is still for 07's only, SCT as far as I know does not work on the OP 08.

Here is my deal, I have a 2005 Ram quad cab with the HEMI. I bought a new camp trailer which in much heavier than my old one and I need to re coop my power I lost when I installed my 33x12x50 mud tires. Would a gear change give me all my power back that had before and would it making towing better? If so what gears would you recommend and what kind of cost would I be looking at to do something like this?

33" tires arent much bigger than stock tires. How much power did you lose you think? Noticeable?

What I saw in this thread was a bunch of mods needed but missed the point of how they fit together.

You need CAI and Exhaust before you get the Tuner so the dang truck can breath. That's where those mods (CAI and CBE) come to be in good use.

35x12.5R20 I've seen down on stock height, no spacers. (stuffed as hell) Rub at full turn.

Now, I have a 7000lbs 5th wheel with 3.55 gears. I got 10.5 mpg pulling it through the hills of missouri. Wish the shift points in tow/haul mode were different, but it did better than my 98 Ram did.

dont go with the superchips programmer. my brother and a couple friends chose that brand for their 5.7L and noticed no hp gains, only mpg gains. i went with the diablosport predator and immediately notice the huge hp gain and also the mpg gain. the predator took a whole second off of my 1/8th mile time.

go with a BFI intake IMO search for it on here, and FM mufflers flow like crap, so EVERYONE says the best free flowing muffler would prolly be the aero turbine

I had a CAI and throttle body and wheather I had the CAI on or just the Throttle body spacer or both together only some about .5 mpg gain in mileage. Ended up taking the CAI off because it was to noisy and it didn't really make any difference even with exhaust done just sounds cool.

haha....tell that to these guys

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...d-updates.html

Superchips is the most popular programmer for the dodges for a reason...
there is a diablo thread right below the superchips thread with 800 posts and 40,000 views......the superchips thread has 2,700 posts and 150,000 views.

Although Diablo does have custom tunes which superchips does not, but then again superchips has full tranny control which diablo does not.

I have a factory leveling kit on my 08 trx4 and I run 35x12.5 17 tires and I have no rub whatsoever in the mud or in reverse or anything just like running stock tires. I have the bullydog triple gt gas tuner that I love, k&n cold air intake, and magnaflow cat back exhaust and this has all made it a beast but it still isn't a race car by any means. The power gains are all impressive but my buddy's Ecoboost still destroys me haha. Gears will be my next investment as well good luck with your truck!
