Default Has anyone tried Mileage XS SAVE from SuperChips?

I saw where SuperChips released a feul mileage tune for cortex and flashpaq owners (old news?) I downloaded it the other day to my flashpaq but I can't get it to work. When I'm programming my truck I get a weird beep and a database error? Anyone get it to work?

I had the exact same problem, was in Ga. and figured I'd try it out on my 360 mile trip home. D/L'd it twice with the same error when I tried to tune truck. Was going to post it on the SC forum, but have only been home a couple days and ain't got around to it yet.

Thanks, was wondering if I did somethin' wrong, guess not. I'm a newb to Superchips and I've only had this programmer for a few days, haven't had time to contact customer support. I'll see if I can find that forum.

Thanks for posting for problem. They just released the update Sept 25th (database 217). I've been cruising the forums to see if anyone else had the same issues. Downloaded the tune more than once to make sure I did it right. Tried downloading again today since there was a new data base update on Oct. 2 (database 218) and same results. Error sound while building file 2 and the eventual need to reset the Flashpaq tuner. I e-mailed Superchips and the only response so far was to ask if the other tunes still worked. They do so I e-mailed that info back to them and now am awaiting the next e-mail. Glad to see it wasn't just me, although with the price of gas I could really use the mileage tune. I'm getting tried of driving the wife's car to work, would really like to have my truck back!!!!

Looks like some guys with '07's got the "Mileage XS Save" tune to work but they are working the bugs out as it doesn't seem to want to work on the '06 and ealier trucks. At least that's what I take out of reading some posts from the above thread.

Got an e-mail back from Superchips saying:

"We are currently having a problem with that download for the mileage xs tune. We are working on a fix and will let you know when to download again."

I believe the next database(#220) they release is supposed to fix it. I'm waiting on their next e-mail to let me know if it's resolved.

Downloaded the new update for my flashpaq today (firmware 1.24, database 221) and was able to program the new "mileage XS". I haven't taken the truck out for a run yet so no opinion on it yet.

Please update whether it made a difference in the gas mileage and power when you burn up some fuel. I might be considering getting flashpaq and better MPG would be a seller. I'm not complaining about my gas mileage, it's just that more MPG won't hurt

I got the flashpaq and a CAI for my 06 ram a few weeks ago and with 87 octane programming, it appears I'm getting around 14.4 mpg range. That is an increase up from 12.7mpg without programming and CAI. could just be a fluke and I am going off of the overhead info center. I'm taking a 1000 mile round trip next weekend and might be able to give a better average but all signs point to an increase in mpg.

I'm wondering what the Mileage XS program would do for me?

Took the truck out this morning with the Mileage XS tune on it. Power seems OK not to de-tuned, truck still moves decent if you floor it. I haven't hit the highway yet so that's just running around town so far.

Trans shifting is at lower RPM's. The old database that was on my tuner was not doing the 1-2 shift until about 2500 RPM and that was even under light throttle. That shift is now down to the 1800-2000 RPM range.

I won't be able to tell gas mileage for a bit, due to gas prices I have a trendency to drive the wife's car when possible. The cold weather is starting so the wife will want her car back and darn ;-) I'll just have to go back to driving my truck. Would be nice if the XS tune saved me a couple bucks.
