Default new 08 needs bed liner

so my dad picked up an 08 leftover today, but with no bed liner, so hes probaly going to get a spray in unless i can find a cheap liner. i found some on ebay for 360, but a spray in is 500 and a shop nearby is offering 50 off right now. anyone have any ideas or is 360 the average?

i know everyone says to go spray, but we have both found the plastic liners work just fine. but usually the trucks came with it.

I bought a 08 RAM as well 2 months ago and had the dealer throw in a under rail bed liner as part of the deal. Talk to your dealer maybe they will do the same or at a reduced price.

Too late for that...have to do what you did and have it as part of the purchase. You could get a herculiner which is a do-it-yourself paint on liner...it's pretty cheap. http://www.herculiner.com/product_info.html

Is that 360 price for a drop-in?

I bought a Mopar under the rail liner and had the dealer install it before I picked it up. It ran me $249

I don't like the liners. My truck came with one, and I took it out. Couldn't put my toolbox in with it. It does make your bed look nicer, but you can't do much with them.

herculiner is good if you are willing to tackle the job yourself it is very easy and runs about 99 dollars for the kit at most auto parts stores.

My buddy did this to his '04 F250. It looked terible. There was no real traction aid. It shined so bright in the sunlight and was super slippery. I would be turned away from his truck to buy it for just that reason. You get what you pay for with those cheapo products. Either get it done professionally or get a bedliner. The last thing I am willing to do is paint the over rail protectors myself and I'm a very handy guy! You could easily make a mess or make it look terrible.

I have RhinoLiner in mine and I love it. Doesn't trap water, protects the bed, and looks good. I got mine over the rails and I'm glad I did because the rails tend to get scratched when you're throwing things in the back, and I had rail caps on my old truck and they kept coming loose. No problems when they're sprayed on.
