Ok, finished the installation of the headlights and hid's about an hour ago or so with my cousin, i'm still waiting for it to get darker or even a nicer day. I had a tint shop do the eyelids, the guy said he painted 4-5 coats of Niteshades and then tried to match the paint as best he could to the truck. I took a few pics real quick but there are more to come.
Let me know what you guys think so far
Thanks
Very nice! I'm Connecticut also and I'm trying to find out if I could use other colors or are they against the law here. I appreciate any help. I went online to the DMV and nothing.
2ndGen, if you can wait a week or two, I'm making my own angel eyes as well as painting the assembly black probably this coming weekend if i get a chance. I'll be using other DIY writeups found on the net. The eyes have cost be about $40 in material. shouldnt be too bad if you're good with the DIY stuff
I noticed on some of the homemade sites they don't mention a transformer or ballast, Only a transistor. Usually I see them included when you buy the expensive one's. I noticed at Oznium .com has LED's with resistors already attached.

you dont need a transformer or ballast. you NEED a resistor though. 220ohm should be sufficient. I got all my LEDs and a pack of resistors for $12 at radioshack.

Hey AF did you ever get around to making the halos? Just curious to see how it came out fi you got to it?
you got a pic of the light beam? I'm concerned about putting HIDs in lights without a projector housing. Does the eyelid create enough of a light barrier to not blind other drivers?
Absolutely NOT. Only way to not blind oncoming traffic is to turn the headlights down as much as possible or installing projector housings that have the appropriate cut-off pattern.
