Question Hella mod.

I recently moounted my hella's but ran into a small problem....lol......I'm blinding everyone on the road coming at me and anyone in front of me. How did you other hella modders fix this, or did you just leave it alone? I hooked mine up as drivng lights with my dims on instead of with the brights but am contemplating on tapping into the brights as the easiest fix. Please post a pic of how you mounted your lights if you would. I'd like to see the mounting area behind your grills for example.

I did that already. They are adjusted as low as they can go. Even tried putting a wedge behind the bracket but couldnt get the wedge to stay in.

You need to power them from the Hi beams, their driving lamps...very bright. You will p!ss alot of people off and make it dangerous for any one in front of you. It will probably attract the attention of the law as well. Here you are only allowed ONE set of lights on at any time, so my dims and fogs are a no no. I have my fogs and hellas hooked to my hi beams but when a car comes over a hill or around the corner, I dim them so only the lows are on, safer for all involved.

Heres what mine look like at night.I have the fog light Hellas and have them wired into my fog lights.I only use them at late night or in foggy conditions and have never had people flash at me.Ya they look like they are angled low but they really do light up the road pretty good.

Low beams,factory fogs and hellas

Sorry,wrong size,heres another a little bigger

Heres one with them off with low beams and factory fogs on

I probably will just run them the way they are now but just toggle them off at night. I just like the looks of them behind the grill, but I'm working on a project to make grill mounts so I can make them look similar to the Mustang gt's driving lights but in the grill instead of behind them.

use a dremel and grind down the bracket so you can aim them lower, that's what i did and now there fine.
