Exhaust for 2008 Ram Hemi
with my magnaflow there isnt a thing anything i dont like about. i had the muffler shop do the pipes themselves and i still have my spare in the same spot. I think if you buy magnaflows complete setup you have to lose your spare, not 100% sure though. I just filled up yesterday so i can calculate my mileage by hand but my overhead shows that its doing better, but only if i dont mash the gas pedal because i like to hear my exhaust now. my desire to give the truck more throttle sometimes is about the only downside. Other than that it sounds nice and low, minimal drone, if any.
do a google search, there are hundreds. I got mine from recon.com.
Magnaflow #16701
Go here and offer $400. http://www.performancepeddler.com/de...CT_ID=MAG16701
I got my #16700 kit for $416 delivered to my door in 2 days, shipping and all.
They do not specify that it will fit an 08, but it does. I have the 16700 on my 08 and dirtydog has the 16701 on his 08.

You can alway dump it as well, most of the time it gives less of a drone than sticking out the side of the truck. I like that look a lot. Mine is loud, set off car alarms loud, but I dont have any drone in the cab, and can have a conversation with the wife going down the freeway and you cant hear the muffler til I get on it.
Mine was $135 shipped, and about $25 for pipe. No tips, no install cost.

Lost the spare tire with the Magnaflow kit. Mine has funny exhaust locations, it goes up really high and dumps out directly under the bumper at a funny downward angle. You almost cant see the tips. I don't really like the tone either. It is kinda a muffled and reminds me of a V6 or something. It is nice and quiet when idling or cruising and has a mild tone when I go through the gears hard. I didn't put it on but I don't notice any increased hp, throttle response, or gas mileage from a stock truck either. This is on my 2008 Ram 2500. It's just not my style, I miss the hemi rumble and sounds of hp my 2004 had. Where are you from? I will sell you mine from the cats back really cheap!
I want a dual side outlet exhaust for my 08 1500 quad cab that is appropriate for a daily driver, nothing too crazy, but i want to hear it and sound nice. No annoying drones - what do you guys have or suggust? Looking for cost effective as well, something in the 500-700 range
You want exit out each side or just one side? How much do you want to spend?Magnaflow is popular around here and I liked it too but couldn't find a deal within my budget. So, I bought Gibson. Exactly the sound and tone I was looking for. I wanted the exit out each side which is the Gibson dual extreme setup but the install notes said I'd have to move my spare if I had a 20 incher, which I do. So, I went with the dual sport which dumps both pipes behind the passenger tire (stock location). I posted a yt link if you are interested in hearing it. Just do a search on this forum, or the 3rd Gen faq forum for my user name and you'll find it. I still had an issue with my spare but I resolved it. YouTube is a good place to go and listen to some different ones. Just search on Ram Hemi Exhaust and add the vendor name if you know what you are looking for (i.e. "Ram Hemi Exhaust Gibson" or Magnaflow", etc.)
I'm sure you get what you pay for but my truck isn't normally exposed to any extreme elements like salt, etc. My stock exhaust came apart like it was brand new. Not sure how much PB Blaster had to do with that. It was pretty clean looking before I even sprayed that stuff on.
