Factory stock 2003 Hemi Ram 1500 QC 4x4 - 131,000 mi. 17.1 to 18. I'm old and I drive slow. (yeah... I'm THAT guy!) Just put Bosch Platinum 4s in. No fuel data with them yet.

You would have a hard time telling my Hemi that platinums are bad. At present time I have a set of Autolite double platinums with 74,000 miles on them, with never any trouble at all, So what are the bad reps 08?

There are many people who have reported on this site as well as the other forums that the iridium's and platinum plugs have caused serious misfires and some other things I can't remember off the top of my head. But alot of guys on here have had platinum and iridium plugs go bad and need changing in as little as 10k. There's a reason most guys in the Spark Plug poll pick copper

Well, I'll just have to go against public opinion, because my truck runs great on them, and I'll bet some of the bad rep was related to some other problem, and not just plugs, maybe to cold or hot a plug, bad coil, or some other ignition related problem, because if it runs bad in some, it should run bad in all, and I'm living proof they will run just fine in a Hemi. I can see no reason why platinum plugs wont run in everything. They are better quality than copper, and conductivity is also better. Thanks for the reply 08

Yea I'm not saying they won't work. If you look at the poll there are people who use them with success as well as some with failures. Probably the main reason I and I'm sure others use the coppers is because they are WAY cheaper then other plugs and perform almost exactly the same.
