Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
Just got back from Chicago last weekend. Round trip was almost 800 miles and averaged 16.5mpg (pen and paper math). However, the first 200 miles I was getting 18.5 mpg, then after 200 miles I picked up a few buddies, and had one follow me in his Envoy.... then I got a lead foot, hahaha. I thought 16.5 was really good for a little racing on the way there, and downtown Chicago traffic. I don't know if anyone here lives in Chicago, but I'll never complain about Detroit traffic again. The roads and traffic in Chicago are crazy. It seems like they have seasons "Winter and construction".

I calculated 18 MPH on a 400 mile trip to LA, a/c was on and off but I kept it around 65 with the cruise.
On the way back I was hauling an ATV, AC ran most of the time and I didn't watch my speed....didn't bother to even look at my MPG but I did have to stop one extra time for gas coming home then I did going there, I'm guessing about a 1/4 tank more?

Just an update, took my first sizable road trip this week at about 650 miles roundtrip. '04 QCSB 4x4, Hemi, 17", 3.55, 107k. Got 20.71 mpg. Temp in the mid-50's with a strong following breeze, windows up, no A/C, no load, no passangers. On the way home I had 3 passangers and luggage, driving into the wind and still got 16.75 mpg. CENTRAL IOWA HAS GAS FOR $1.99/ GALLON.
