Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
I recently bought a 08 QC Hemi 2WD and drove it from the west coast to the east coast. I averaged 19-20 mpg doing 80-85. In the city I get 13-15 depending how much I play with it.
Getting about 15.3 to 15.5 MPG on 60/40 hwy/city split. Did a run from Tulsa, Ok to The Woodlands, TX (just north of Houston) on a single 26 gal tank with only vapors left in the tank. Trip was started around 11pm in August so there was little traffic and i could keep the engine at a steady rpm setting. No stops where made.
New update:
Our 2008 QC 1500 with 4.7 is now up to 16.3 average over it's 3,000 mile life. It seems the price of gas has finally taught my wife to stay out of the throttle, and it has let the overall average creep up a little bit. And maybe the engine is loosening up just a bit with a few more miles under it's tires. Also, just changed over to Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic. We'll see if that helps any.
