Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
2004, QC, 1500, 4X4,HEMI, ALL WHEEL DRIVE, 3.92, 35"X12.5X17"R, 22,000 MILES,= 11.9-12.6 ON THE OVER HEAD, 330 MILES ON FULL TANK. BUT I'M NOT SURE MY SPEEDO IS READING CORRECT, WILL HAVE A BETTER IDEA IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS WHEN I CALIBRATE IT WITH THE SUPERCHIP PROGRAMER.
How in the world does anyone get over 20mpg in any Ram?
I've had my 4.7L 4x2 Ram since it had 10 miles on it in 2004. 3.55 Gears, FIPK, Gibson exhaust, 245/60R17's. The worst I ever got was about 360 miles to a tank. The best I ever got was 437 miles to a tank. I drive 17 miles each way to work everyday with 90% on highway at about 60-65 mph and average 17.4 mpg with no A/C on. It is 5 speed stick, but that's not worth 3mpg. Where do you guys get those figures? Seriously, is there a hybrid out there and we just don't know about it?

Just a side note, with that style of refueling, I can keep the overhead computer in check at about 0.5mpg accuracy.
I just fill until it clicks everytime so I think it's close enough every time. I just filled up about an hour ago on my way to work and I got 15.6 miles per gallon and I used just over 21 gallons. First time I have not filled up at half tank except fot trips where I don't have a gas station in sight. This tank was mainly highway but it's stop and go las vegas highway traffic and alot of stop and go city driving (as we have a stop light on every block in las vegas) Also on this tank I broke 100 mph a few times hauling stuff, ran the ac, let her idle for over an hour a few times and ran it in the city a little bit like it was a race car. My 98 ram always got 10 mpg. I could be on the highway or 4wheeling in 4low and it always got 10 mpg no matter what. My new truck driving style does matter, first tank with the hemi I got 11.5 miles per gallon
since then I have been getting all mid 14's and finally this tank I got 15.6. Truck has 1300 miles so maybe the motor is starting to break in....

that will be worse though in places that actually get cold weather. the fuel wont be the same for me here in the desert as it will be for the guys in minnesota in that we dont need the same stuff in our fuel for our climate to keep our cars running.
